Do we have to follow a schedule?
Not at all! Every retreat and holiday has a schedule for ease, but you are free to decide on the day, each day, how much or little of it you wish to follow, You are entirely free to do your own thing if you choose!
Do you supply the books?
If you choose to read the prescribed book for a reading retreat, while you are on retreat, we will provide a paperback copy of that book which will be waiting for you on arrival. Aside from that we have a library that you are free to pick and choose from but if there is a particular book you want to read, apart from the prescribed book, you will need to source it for yourself ahead of the retreat.
How many people do you accept on each retreat?
Our reading retreats cater for between 8-16 people.
Can I get an internet connection in my room?
All rooms are supplied with complimentary ultra fast broadband, accessible via wifi.
How do I get to you?
By Road: the retreat venue is accessed directly from the A5 in Corwen, Denbighshire. There is free parking on site.
By Train: the nearest mainline train stations are at Ruabon and Chirk. We can organise complimentary collection and drop-off at the train station on the first afternoon and final morning: see Trainline for train times and prices.
By Bus: Corwen is served by the T10, T3 and 55 bus routes from Bangor, Wrexham and Ruthin respectively.
Can I share a room (and the cost)?
Shared rooms are available on most of our retreats - simply select the second person supplement option at checkout.
Do you lead the walks on a walking holiday?
We can only lead a short guided walk to the top of Caer Drewyn (ancient hill fort), which takes around an hour and forty minutes, but we can provide details of other walks in the area for you to orienteer on your own or in your group.
How accessible is your property?
Our property is a Victorian building located on the side of the Berwyn Mountains, and all bedrooms are currently only accessible via stairs. For full details, see our accessibility page.
