About the event
Your place on our September 2026 weekend reading retreat gives you a peaceful, relaxing place to read either the book of your choice or our recommended pick. Either way, enjoy the opportunity to engage with other readers, keep yourself to yourself, or a little bit of both!
In addition to reading, you can choose from other optional activities including a movie night on the Saturday evening and a guided walk on Sunday afternoon.
The retreat runs from Friday to Monday (3 nights) with a 2-night option for those who have to get back to work at the start of the new week. Whichever option you choose, your accommodation will be in one of our spacious, ensuite bedrooms with TV, WiFi, and toiletries. You will have access to our lounge reading spaces and our extensive garden and grounds where you might discover your own secret hideaway.
