About the event
Your place on our May 2027 residential reading retreat offers a peaceful, relaxing place to read either the book of your choice or our recommended pick. Either way, enjoy the opportunity to engage with other readers, keep yourself to yourself, or a little bit of both!
In addition to reading, you can choose from other optional activities through the week, including guided walks, afternoon tea and more.
The retreat runs from Thursday to Monday (4 nights). Your accommodation will be in one of our spacious, ensuite bedrooms with TV, WiFi, and toiletries. You will have access to our communal reading spaces and our extensive garden and grounds throughout, all to help you relax, focus and enjoy a good read.

2nd Person Supplement - £295
Payment of this supplement of £295, including VAT, covers the cost of a second person sharing your room, full board, with full access to the retreat activities, throughout the retreat. This can only be booked alongside a room booking of a standard or superior room. The balance outstanding for the room booking will be payable against invoice, 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

£20 Deposit for optional add-on of a one hour massage treatment of your choice, to take place during your stay at a time to be arranged (subject to availability). The balance of payment will be due 21 days prior to the start of the retreat.

Accompanying Dog - £35
A place for your furry friend on the retreat, sharing your room. The fee covers extra cleaning and other costs. A maximum of two dogs are allowed on each retreat. Dogs are usually not allowed in the dining room but are allowed in all other areas. Contact us if you need more information.
